Messingham Junior School (Northfield Road)

Messingham Parish Council called for an open public meeting to discuss the future of the old school building on the Northfield Road site.

Close to 100 residents turned up at last nights meeting to air their views and concerns with regards to the future development of the site. There was overwhelming support for the school building to be retained for community use. Ideas came forward for adult education, possible relocation of existing services, young persons cyber cafe and also the building of affordable housing at the rear of the existing playground and field.

Messingham Parish Council meeting on the 12th September when the council will discuss the issues raised by local residents.
